Load Considerations
A PV array adds roughly 10-20 kg/m² of dead load plus wind uplift forces. This must be checked against the building’s structural design and purlin spacing. For solar-ready projects, specify the roof structure and Great Wall panel thickness with the PV load included from the start – retrofitting is harder than designing for it.
