Coating warranty vs panel life
The number you are quoted (15, 20 years) is the coating warranty — the coater guaranteeing the PVDF holds colour and adhesion within defined limits. The aluminium substrate does not rust and outlives the coating warranty by decades. So “20-year ACP” means the finish is guaranteed 20 years; the panel is not going anywhere.
What colour and gloss guarantees mean
A real PVDF warranty states limits, usually in Delta-E for colour change and a percentage for gloss loss over the term, measured to a standard. If a supplier just says “20-year warranty” with no colour-change or gloss figures, ask for them — those numbers are the warranty. Vague warranties are worth little.
What voids the warranty
