OEM and Private-Label ACP and Aluminium: Branding, Film Print and MOQ

OEM and private-label ACP means the factory makes the panels to your brand — printing your name and product code on the protective film, matching your colour range, and packing under your labels — so you sell it as your own line. It is standard for distributors and cladding brands buying factory-direct. The main variables are the minimum order (higher for custom film and colours) and lead time. Here is what is possible and what to ask for.

What OEM/private-label covers

Typically: your brand and product code printed on the panel’s protective film; your colour range and names mapped to RAL/coating; your packaging, labels and cartons; and sometimes a custom coating or finish. The panel is made to your spec (core, coating, thickness) and reaches your customer looking like your product, not the factory’s.

Printed film and custom colours

The most visible OEM element is the protective film printed with your logo and code — it is what installers see on every sheet. Custom colours beyond standard RAL are possible but need a colour-match and a coating run, so they carry a higher minimum. Decide early which colours are your standard stock range and which are made-to-order.

Minimum order and lead time

OEM raises the minimum: printed film has a setup minimum, and each custom colour needs its own coating batch (often multi-tonne of coil). Standard colours on your printed film are the easiest entry; bespoke colours cost more and take longer. Ask for the MOQ per colour, the film print setup and the lead time before you plan a range.

Setting up an OEM line cleanly

Give the factory: your logo/film artwork and product codes, your colour range mapped to RAL and coating, core and thickness per product, packaging and label spec, and your forecast volumes. Approve a printed-film and colour sample first (see sample approval). A real factory runs OEM routinely and will quote the MOQ and setup clearly; get it in writing before committing to a brand.
